About South Moor Golf Club
This Dr Alister MacKenzie designed course is a stunning county championship venue, oozing natural charm as it winds between gorse, heather and bracken around an enticing heathland layout. Each hole presents a different challenge and golfers who like putting on large and Augusta National style greens will enjoy negotiating their undulating surfaces. This is the trademark of a genius whose portfolio also included Augusta, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne.
It provides a challenge for all golfing abilities with a combination water hazards, challenging fairways and sharp turns. The 15th hole is the signature hole as it provides the ultimate challenge with the many trees and stream across the fairway.
